"The 1st Anniversary Survey!"
🎉 The 1st Anniversary Survey!
This is the most in-depth survey yet to capture the real state of the EA world in 2025, from workload and compensation to tools, AI, and the quirks that make the EA role so unique.
It’s not a 2-minute quiz though. Expect to spend 10–15 minutes for the core questions, and longer if you explore the optional, more reflective ones. Your responses will help shape future resources, events, and conversations for thousands of EAs worldwide.
As a thank-you, everyone who completes it will be entered to win 1 of 52 physical BCCing my EA comic booklets (one for each issue of our weekly newsletter).
In case you’re new here, CCing my EA is a bite-sized newsletter for Executive Assistants, packed with 5 new job listings, 3 fun posts, and 1 helpful tech tip, delivered every Thursday.
Well… almost every Thursday.
This week’s a little different.
To celebrate one year of CCing My EA, we’re looking back at some of the best highlights from the past 12 months.
Hope you enjoy the reminiscing, and thank you for being part of this community. 💌

Note: I excluded data from the first two CCing my EA issues because we had fewer than 200 readers at the time, which isn’t quite enough to reach statistical significance.
Interestingly, Uber came in as the least clicked job of all time, while Bumble was by far the most popular.
That doesn’t necessarily mean EAs love or hate those specific companies though. It’s more likely just highlighting a consistent trend we've seen all year: EAs are overwhelmingly more interested in remote roles than those requiring on-site presence.

There are a LOT of words in this one and it’s a little difficult to read without line breaks, but the story is so good I just have to share it.

The true value of an Executive Assistant isn’t just in what they do, it’s in what they free you to do. A great EA doesn’t just manage tasks; they’re the secret to scaling time, focus, and impact for any executive. 🧠

“Okay, I swear I just saw that email... Let’s just search ‘urgent’.
Hmm no, ‘ASAP’? Maybe ‘Follow-up’ or ‘Re: Follow-up’?!
Oh great, that just gave me 12 more email threads from last week.”
- Some poor EA out there 😭

ChatGPT prompting cheat sheet
I saw this ChatGPT cheatsheet on Reddit and thought it could be super helpful as a printout for you to have by your desk.
With that said, if you ever feel like using ChatGPT “correctly” is too complicated or technically complex, you might find some of the top comments on the Reddit post reassuring:
I'm gonna say this blunty and it's gonna sound rude - but using ChatGPT or any LLM AI model comes down to literally just talking. That's it. You are overthinking on how to use it. You simply just need to talk to it - and be good at talking helps better outputs.
All this “prompt” stuff is bollocks for almost everyone. Just talk to it like you would a colleague that you trust but know you’ll need to double check the work of. Easy. Don’t overthink it
It doesn't require any specialized knowledge. It just requires a willingness to engage in conversation and exercise intellectual curiosity.
If you ever need a refresher on past Tech Tips without digging through your emails, they’re all available in a single post right here.

I know this week’s “best of” format means we skipped over some great new posts from the EA community.
Don’t worry, I’ve got them saved and will include them in next week’s issue so we can pick up right where we left off.
In the meanwhile, please take the CCing my EA Anniversary Survey if you get the chance!
I’ll see you next Thursday~
