"kickoff party for Admin Week"

In case you’re new here, CCing my EA is a bite-sized newsletter by Vimcal EA dedicated to Executive Assistants like yourself.

Every Thursday, we deliver a quick email with 5 new job listings, 3 fun posts, and 1 helpful tech tip straight to your inbox. 📬

Quick update on the OpenClaw ask from last week: I didn’t get any actual tips 😅

A lot of you reached out saying you’re curious about it too, which tells me we’re all trying to figure this one out.

The good news: I got connected to Steph Rohweder (former EA, now Chief of Staff) who I’ve heard is an OpenClaw wizard, and we’re setting up a live webinar where she’ll show how she actually uses it.

I’ll be learning alongside you since I have zero experience with it too.

I’ll share RSVP details soon!

5 new job listings

  1. Syncro, $124k - $165k, Remote (USA)

  2. Playlist, $65k - $87k, Remote (USA)

  3. Earnest, $86k - $107k, Remote (USA)

  4. Castlight Health, $66k - $100k, Remote (USA)

  5. Instructure, $70k - $90k, Remote (USA)

We only post jobs under 7 days old, but some may expire before you open this email.

3 posts you might’ve missed

#1

The world is built on trust! 🤝

#2

I feel like this happens to me once every two weeks. Does anyone have insight into the thought process behind this decision-making? 😭

#3

I would argue that all 3 of Megan’s golden pillars fall under one common theme: communication!

Strong communication is undefeated. 😤

Bonus resource

We’re hosting a kickoff party for Admin Week next Thursday, April 16th in NYC!

The theme is “speakEAsy” and you can expect fun stations like a tarot card reader (limited to the first 30 arrivals), a "Wheel of Misfortune", a bracelet making station, an open bar, and of course your fellow Executive Assistant peers :)

🗓️ When: Thursday, April 16th from 5:30 to 7:30pm ET

📍 Where: 38 West 39th Street, NYC

🥂 What: Meetup of EAs who share the unique joys and chaos of supporting busy execs

1 Tech Tip

Vertical tabs in Chrome browser

Earlier this week, Google made it possible to arrange your tabs in a vertical sidebar, which lets you see wayyy more tabs at once compared to before.

To do so, just visit chrome://flags in your browser and enable Vertical Tabs

Once you’ve relaunched your browser to apply the effects, go to SettingsAppearance → change Tab strip position to “Side”.

It's taking a little bit to get used to be I already feel better not having all my tabs squished so closely together where I can’t even read the titles.

Bonus tech tip: Vimcal EA’s new Cancellation Counter

You can now see how often a recurring meeting has been cancelled over the past 6 months with Vimcal EA’s new Cancellation Counter!

It helps surface things like:

  • 1:1s that quietly fade out

  • Recurring meetings no one prioritizes

  • Time that looks blocked, but never gets used

As an added bonus, the cancellation counts are now included in Executive Calendar Audits too, so you’ll see this stat in your CSV exports when reviewing your exec’s calendar activity.

If you want to give it a try, visit vimcal.com/ea to get started!

For a refresher on past Tech Tips without digging through your emails, they’re all available in a single post right here (doing my best to update once a month).

Thank you for reading!

Thank you to everyone who came to our Chicago meetup earlier this week!

Gentle reminder that we’re doing another meet up in Minneapolis later today, and our big NYC event next Thursday, April 16th.
