"CCing my EA’s 1 year anniversary!"

Got a survey question idea?

Tomorrow is CCing my EA’s 1 year anniversary! 🎉

To celebrate, I’m putting together our first-ever Anniversary Survey.

I have a few questions in mind (e.g. “What’s your favorite productivity tool?” or “How many execs do you support?”), but I’d love to get suggestions from you too.

What questions are you curious to hear from other EAs about? Some other examples I was thinking about:

  • “What’s the most unusual task you’ve had to handle this year?”

  • “Do you feel like your title reflects the level of work you do?”

  • “What’s one thing you wish more EAs talked about openly?”

If something comes to mind, just hit reply and send it my way. I’ll be finalizing the questions soon before I send the survey out in a special edition of CCing my EA next Thursday. 👀

As summer is in its final month and you’re considering taking some last minute PTO, steal some of Colleen’s tips so you can return to work ready to go.

Just make sure your team leaves the microwave plugged in while you’re gone. 😂

1 Tech Tip

Why EAs need tools built specifically for their workflows

If you’ve ever wrestled with a tool that wasn’t designed for how you work (e.g. Google Calendar or Outlook), this might resonate.

Imagine you want to colorize a black and white photo.

You could ask a general tool like ChatGPT to do it.

It’ll kiiinda work, but it’s clunky, slow, and honestly not good enough.

Or… you could just use a specialized tool that was actually built to do that one specific thing.

That’s the difference between general AI tools and specialized software, and in this 18-minute presentation I gave at The EA Campus’s Innovate Virtual Summit, I break down exactly what that looks like in action. 👇

If you’ve ever felt like your scheduling tools are fighting you, you’ll want to watch this.

For a refresher on past Tech Tips without digging through your emails, they’re all available in a single post right here.

Thank you for reading!

Reminder to share any questions you’re curious to hear from other EAs about for the Anniversary Survey.

If you think of something, you can just hit reply to share it with me.

I’ll see you next Thursday for a very special issue~
