"Once an EA, always an EA."
In case you’re new here, CCing my EA is a bite-sized newsletter by Vimcal EA dedicated to Executive Assistants like yourself.
Every Thursday, we deliver a quick email with 5 new job listings, 3 fun posts, and 1 helpful tech tip straight to your inbox. 📬
5 new job listings
Bonus: Daloopa, $107k - $128k, Hybrid (NYC)
Thanks to CCing my EA reader Viana Tran for sharing this role! No need to reach out to her, she mentions to “just submit the application as we are reviewing on rolling basis”. Best of luck!
We only post jobs under 7 days old, but some may expire before you open this email.
3 posts you might’ve missed
#1
This reminds me of how the point of “strategic business partners” is not necessarily to be involved in the overall competitive strategy of a business, but rather to enable their execs to do exactly that. 🧠
#2
With the NYC Marathon still fresh on my mind, I immediately thought about the 26.2 mile distance of a full marathon. 🏃
#3
“Remote works were thirteen percent more productive. They quit 50% less often.” is a mind blowing statistic! 🤯
Bonus
If you have fun stories like this that you’ve wanted to get off your chest anonymously, don’t hesitate to share them with me!
Btw, did you notice the bolded Once an EA, always an EA sentence? I’ll show you how to do that in this week’s tech tip below. 👇
1 Tech Tip
Type 𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗱 & 𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙨 anywhere (without real formatting)
When an app doesn’t support rich text (e.g. LinkedIn posts), you can still “style” a few words using Unicode look-alike characters (what you’re seeing here: 𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗱 and 𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘤).
Here’s what I did to add these special characters in my LinkedIn post above:
Type your text → pick Bold, Italic, or whatever
Copy → paste into any app that’s plain-text only
Where this helps
Social posts & bios: LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok
Plain-text fields: Gmail subject lines, calendar event titles, Google Forms titles, Airtable/Asana task names, Trello cards
Chat & SMS: iMessage/Texts, WhatsApp, group chats that don’t support real bold/italics
Important note: These are special characters, not true styling, so some screen readers may display them oddly. They’re also less searchable so you’ll generally want to keep names, emails, and #hashtags in normal text.
That’s it!
For a refresher on past Tech Tips without digging through your emails, they’re all available in a single post right here.
Thank you for reading!
Omg I can’t believe it’s already December!!! 😭
