Now you’ll never hear “stakeholder” the same again.
Good luck keeping a straight face in your future steakholder meatings. 😈

How many back-and-forth exchanges until you’re obligated to grab coffee together? ☕
#Bonus
Last week I received a couple fun stories from fellow CCing my EA readers that I wanted to share with y’all.
One of my execs told me today “I would really like it if you came to the onsite because I won’t be able to do it without you.”
*cue the happy tears
And here’s one more. We’re keeping the author anonymous so we don’t embarrass their executive :)
They would call me while walking through the neighborhood to “chat” about the day and prepare for the rest of the week. It was mid-day and part of our normal routine.
Until the one day when they were going on and on about another executive and the challenges that they were having and walked smack into a big tree in front of an elementary school that had just had an early dismissal. Unfortunately, the school driveway was full of cars waiting to pick up their children.
They were not badly hurt but very embarrassed.
Surprisingly, they managed to maintain a grip on the phone and all I could hear was the sound of the impact and a few profanities until they remembered that we were still connected on the call and then told me what had happened.
Needless to say, our “walking chats” promptly ended after the tree event! Lesson learned – always focus on your surroundings!

Advice for your fellow EA?
Does anyone have advice on how to interview candidates for your current position? For example, maybe questions you like to ask in interviews?
"I’m in the interesting position of interviewing candidates to replace myself and planning ahead for training and transition.
I’m moving abroad (to unknown working situation, but that’s part of the adventure!) so the decision to leave is mine. And I told them I would help in the hiring process and with the transition.
I’ve just never had to do it before, and it’s…..interesting.
I’m the first EA they have had and I really want to leave them in the best hands possible.
Despite my lack of experience in hiring a replacement, I really want to give the candidates the best opportunity by asking the right questions."
