"It's Christmas in July"

A CCing my EA reader reached out for affordable-unique-but-useful gifting ideas. If you have suggestions you’d like to give, please reply to this email and I’ll compile the top responses to share with everyone in next week’s newsletter!

“It's Christmas in July and the biggest hurtle I have struggled with during my EA career is meeting the desired gift ideas my boss has in mind. He wants our client gifts to be unique, but useful, while also not blowing the budget. The standard swag is out of the question. With out fail, the decision is pushed off every year and we (I) end up scrambling to make orders or run around locally to get gifts (and deliver them) around holiday chaos and office closures. Wondering if you would be willing to share any insight or open suggestions and ideas up to the EA network?

Any help or insight is appreciated. My boss is big on "avoiding the easy button" and I am at my creative end on what that looks like.”

Bonus

To celebrate CCing my EA’s 2-year anniversary, we’re hosting another meetup in NYC next Thursday, August 6th!

We’re bringing it back to FotoLab Studio by Penn Station, where the meetups first started. See above for our first-ever group pic :)

We’ll have a selfie portrait studio where you can take your own LinkedIn or personal profile photos. All photos will be available for free download via Google Drive after the event.

🎟️ Please invite your EA friends too, just make sure they RSVP here: luma.com/7lrfb4ap

1 Tech Tip

15 ways EAs are using Claude

An EA on Reddit asked what repeatable tasks they could use Claude for, and Ethan summarized the best ones here.

Main takeaway: don’t try to overhaul your entire workflow. Pick one annoying repeatable task and start there.

For a refresher on past Tech Tips without digging through your emails, they’re all available in a single post right here (doing my best to update once a month).

Thank you for reading!

Final reminder about the meetup next week in NYC!

Catch you next Thursday~
