"We gave away comic books, sticker packs, and..."

Want to test a new Vimcal EA feature?

We’re looking for 5 EAs to try out “Transit Time”, a new feature that automatically adds buffers before and after meetings, and even calculates ETAs if you enter locations.

If you’ve ever had to guess how long it’ll take your exec to get from point A to B, we built this for you.

Just reply if you’re down to give it a spin! :)

In case you’re new here, CCing my EA is a bite-sized newsletter dedicated to Executive Assistants like yourself.

Every Thursday, we deliver a quick email with 5 new job listings, 3 fun posts, and 1 helpful tech tip straight to your inbox. 📬

These comics are based on true stories submitted by EAs retold in a fun, anonymous way.

For convenience, we also post these to LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.

Do you have an outrageous or funny story you’d like to get off your chest? Just reply directly to this email to share — I promise anonymity! 🤫

Is this a blessing or a curse? Yes. ⚖️

#3

Because juggling five calendars, six inboxes, and a CEO’s whims is doing your best. 😭

Bonus

Me, David, and David (yes, they’re both called “David” 😂) at our booth

The Vimcal EA team was at EA Ignite this week!

We gave away BCCing my EA comic books, brand new sticker packs, and…

Vimcal EA squad with the lovely Chantal at Comfy Cow

Free ice cream! 🍦

The boozy bourbon ball ice cream was so popular that our caterer, Chantal, had to run back to her store to get another tub.

Self-care, but make it destructive

To cap things off, we ended the conference by hosting an event with axe-throwing, racing simulators, and a rage room where EAs got to break liquor bottles, glass jars, and a TV. 🪓

We figured since EAs spend all day fixing things, they should finally get the chance to be the ones breaking them too. 😤

If you missed us this time, don’t sweat! We’ll be putting on more events in the future so just try to catch us at the next one :)

1 Tech Tip

QR Code Not Scanning? Try This

This tip is so simple, I almost didn’t share it. But it saved the day so many times at the EA Ignite conference, I figured it’s worth passing along.

If your camera won’t scan a QR code, don’t close the app. Just switch to “Video” mode, then back to “Photo.” That quick toggle refreshes the camera, and more often than not, the QR code will scan right away.

Switch to “VIDEO” and then back to “PHOTO”

Try it now using the same QR code we displayed at EA Ignite. Who knows which David you’ll get? 👀

Roll the camera-dice. Will it be David Ryan or David Nguyen? 🎲

If you ever need a refresher on past Tech Tips without digging through your emails, they’re all available in a single post right here.

Thank you for reading!

I’ve been running a little behind on my inbox this past week, but I promise I will respond to your emails as soon as I’ve settled back in from EA Ignite!

In the meanwhile, don’t forget to reply to this email if you’re interested in helping test our new “Transit Time” feature.

I’ll see you next Thursday~
