I took some time off last week to let loose a bit on some rollercoasters at Universal Studios in Orlando and have to say I feel more recharged than I’ve felt in months! 🔋

1 Tech Tip

Delete text way faster: delete by word/line

This is a sort of part 2 to last week’s tech tip (at least in spirit). When you’re editing, use these shortcuts to delete text instead of tapping or holding down Backspace forever.

Mac

• ⌫ (Delete): Delete previous character

• fn + ⌫: Delete next character

• ⌥ (Option) + ⌘ Command + Delete: Delete previous word

• ⌥ + fn + ⌫: Delete next word

• ⌘ (Command) + Delete: Delete to start of line

Windows

• Backspace: Delete previous character

• Delete: Delete next character

• Ctrl + Backspace: Delete previous word

• Ctrl + Delete: Delete next word

• Shift + Home + Backspace: Delete to start of line

Hopefully these become even more helpful when paired with last week’s shortcuts!
