1 Tech Tip
Send someone a link to the exact sentence you want them to read
In Chrome, you can highlight any text on a webpage, right-click it, and select Copy link to highlight.
When someone opens that link, Chrome will take the reader directly to that part of the page and highlight the text you selected.
Give it a try by clicking this link, it should take you the part of last week’s post where “EA cheat code” is highlighted.

From Jodie Mears: Be Professionally Unpopular
Sometimes execs need someone to protect both their time and relationships.
Maybe they need to protect project time without making someone feel unimportant, or they know a conversation could get awkward if they’re the one saying "no".
That’s where an EA can step in and give the exec an easy out with something like: “sorry, my EA won’t let me do that”.
In Jodie’s experience, executives are often much happier letting their EA create those boundaries for them.
The EA just has to be comfortable taking a little of the blame.
From Caitlin Jovovich: The One-Two Punch
When you don’t have much formal authority, how you present an idea is just as important as how good the idea itself is.
Caitlin started calling one way of doing this the “one-two punch.”
Before an important meeting, she'd quickly workshop an idea with her team and poke holes in it from their executive’s perspective.
Then they’d decide how to present it: one person might lay the groundwork, another reinforce it, and the person most trusted by the decision maker would explain why it mattered.
Caitlin gave the example of a social media idea that probably would have died if she’d presented it alone.
Instead, the team planned ahead for different people to chime in at different points and back the idea up, so it felt less like one person making a pitch and more like something the team was already aligned on.
