I’m not able to share all 16 slides in the newsletter here so please click into Tabby’s post to check them all out. They’re totally going to give you a great Halloween-themed laugh! 🎃

In the survey we ran a few months back, when asked which soft skill matters most, EAs overwhelmingly cited reading people’s body language, tone, and unspoken cues as the most important. In other words, emotional intelligence! 🧠

You see more than your exec does, which is why you read people better, too. 🔍

This was probably the biggest EA-related post on LinkedIn this past week, and for good reason too.
How many of the 6 examples Clara mentioned has happened to you before? 👀

At a recent CCing my EA meetup, I heard something along the lines of “an EA’s best resource is another EA”, and it’s so true because they’re able to share relevant assets like vendors, tips, and tools with you.
And I’ll also add my personal opinion that the word “networking” feels a little too transactional for me and it distances itself from what I think is its true meaning: making new friends!
So if you aren’t already, I fully encourage you to go out and make yourself some new EA friends! ☺️
P.S. In case you missed this a few months back, we’ve been hosting in-person CCing my EA meetups based on each location’s demand. Feel free to fill out this short 3-question form if you’re interested in meeting your EA peers in-person!

Best easy win for your first week in a new role: physical changes to the office!
Turning a place from “tolerable” to “pleasant” can serve as a constant reminder to your team about who they can rely on. 🫡

Vertical tabs in Chrome browser (Apr 9th, 2026)
Earlier this week, Google made it possible to arrange your tabs in a vertical sidebar, which lets you see wayyy more tabs at once compared to before.

To do so, just visit chrome://flags in your browser and enable Vertical Tabs
Once you’ve relaunched your browser to apply the effects, go to Settings → Appearance → change Tab strip position to “Side”.
It's taking a little bit to get used to be I already feel better not having all my tabs squished so closely together where I can’t even read the titles.

Quickly unsubscribe from emails (Feb 26th, 2026)
I’ll let the following Threads post do all the talking this week:
Just visit mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#sub
Thank you for reading!
Thank you to everyone who replied back with suggestions to Jessica’s “Christmas in July” question last week, I’ll be compiling the responses and sharing it in the next regular newsletter issue.
In the meanwhile, happy 2 year anniversary to CCing my EA!!! 🎂
I’ll see you next Thursday~
